Got my cintiq

Posted by RionHunter - October 2nd, 2010

FINALLY.
It took forever to get in.
I upgraded from the Bamboo Fun - Small to the Cintiq 21ux.
it's like going from a bicycle with training wheels to a rolls royce.
So you can expect some more stuff by me soon :D

Here's a little image of something I started today.
I was going to try and get it done within 12 hours like one of my last submissions, but I got to the fbf, and gave up hope on that :P

cash rules everythin around me

I'm going to be broke for a while.

What are you going to do with your Bamboo, if you dont need it you could send it to me since my tablet is broken :'(

Well, I was going to use it for animating on my laptop, when I'm elsewhere, as the cintiq isn't as...portable...
:/

It's so heavy but it's sooo awesome :)

the difference it makes is unreal

Yeah, it really is quite phenomenal

im still stuck with my bamboo one damnit! T_T

I'm saving money for a CINTIQ for a while now. Is it as amazing as my dreams tell me? I WANT DETAILS!

Also, does any of it's unique features work well with Flash, or is it just the brush pressure?

Well the main unique feature...y'know...the screen...it makes a huuuuuge difference.
When i was on my bamboo, drawing the line I wanted took luck, really. hitting ctrl+z soooooo many times, but now it's almost first time, every time.

I want one so badly, enjoy it man. :)

That's chill as! how much did it cost (I'm pretty eager to get one myself).

like...3 grand (including warranty, etc)

Wow... That's a lot of cash.

Might give it pass until I get a new PC and a car...

A. Lot.
I'm hoping it will pay itself off in the long run though.
fingers crossed.

SO!
FUCKING!
JEALOUS!

LOL Added you to Twitter for this, I hope you can provide some steady feedback about how this baby changes your life. I'm in current progress of saving for one exactly like yours though am torn between it and the intuos4 LRG.

I look forward to hearing about it's performance review in Flash and Photoshop. :)

Well, now I'll HAVE to do it :P
so far, it's going quite well.
